Veterans of our Armed Forces, I am generally fluent with words, but I don't have words to express how appreciative I am for what you have given to this country. Your brave, difficult, selfless service in defense of this great nation is a gift of incalculable value.
May you, today, be recognized for your critical importance to this country, to our allies, to the Free World, and to the principles of Jeffersonian democracy. Our modern way of life would not be possible if it weren't for you who kept the barbarians from crashing the gates, year after year.
