What to expect
With Scott
A smile
And a baseball cap
For starters
The cap sometimes
Had a Steelers logo,
And sometimes it was just
Plain tan.
It didn't have to be fancy.
Scott was comfortable in anything.
Speaking of the Steelers
Scott loved
EVERYTHING
About
His big, bright hometown
He loved smiling, too!
It came to him
So easily
And naturally
That warm, constant,
Brotherly smile
That made everyone
In the room
Feel welcome
And at ease.
At the funeral
Scott's brother described him as
The nicest guy in the world.
I have to agree.
He was good to his kids
And a friend
To anyone
He got to know
For more than
Ten seconds
Every family
Has a rock,
Someone
Whom you can count on
To step up
And help
Anytime
Anywhere
Scott used to show up
Unannounced
To mow the grass
When my father
Couldn't do it.
Scott was a busy
Family man
With a demanding job.
He didn't have time
To come over
And do chores
On a lark,
But he did it anyway.
That's what kind of guy he was,
Unselfish to a fault
I could learn
Some important lessons
On character
From his example.
Most importantly
Scott always took
Unwavering
Care
Of his wife
And family.
He worked hard
To support them
For many years.
That's what I admire
About him
Most
Even more
Than his wonderful,
High wattage
Smile
We'll miss you, Scott.
We already do.
It's not fair
That you
Were taken from us
So soon!
You were one of the
Good Guys
Truly
One of the
Good Guys
There aren't enough
People
In this world
Like you
In Loving Memory
