New York Minute 122 - Giant Gray Terrier

I saw a guy walking with an unusual breed of dog the other day. It had thick, wiry gray hair, the kind you see on some small terriers. But this beast was the size of a small bear. It strode slowly down the sidewalk with an imposing muscular gait. When it notice another dog walking across the street, it let out a blood-chilling baritone howl. 

With all of that hair, it looked as though someone had glued together a couple of gray shag throw rugs and taught them to walk on four legs. But I have to say that this odd-looking behemoth seemed as though it could do some real damage if it got angry. I walked in traffic just to stay out of its way.

[Edit: A friend who is knowledgeable in these matters identified the dog in my description as a Giant Schnauzer. I found photos on the Internet to confirm that this indeed is the breed of dog that I saw the other day. It’s wonderful to have such resourceful friends! ]
