Red Flags In The Trump Cabinet

Mr. Trump's stated choices for key cabinet positions are troubling. Some are grossly under-qualified, others, outlandish and inherently risky.

Consider the following examples:

Attorney General - Sen. Jeff Sessions, a segregationist who prosecuted civil rights workers.

Secretary of the Treasury - Steve Mnunchin, former partner at Goldman Sachs.

Secretary of Labor - Andy Puzder, a CEO of a fast food chain who wants to do away with the minimum wage and replace line workers with robots.

Secretary of Defense - Rex Tillerson, CEO of ExxonMobil, negotiated a $500b oil contract with Russia that was impeded by sanctions over Russia's takeover of Crimea.

Secretary of Education - Betsy DeVos, billionaire charter school activist who presided over Detroit's charter school program, which, according to Wikipedia, "even charter school advocates acknowledge was the biggest school reform disaster in the country."

By what rational criteria would any of these people seem like a good choice to serve in the proposed cabinet position?
