Hurricane Justice

I am saddened today to read of the passing of Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter, known for his skills as a boxer and for serving nineteen years in prison for a crime that he didn't commit. 

In honor of the Hurricane, let us resolve work toward meaning reform in our criminal justice system, reform that will prevent the destruction of innocent lives by the mandate to imprison someone - anyone - to create the illusion that justice has been served.
