Blue Dress

I thought of her fondly 

In the dim light of morn 

I pictured us meeting 

On a day, fair and warm 


She arrived in the blue dress 

That she used to wear 

It compliments well 

The rich tone of her hair 


From behind big sunglasses 

She beamed a kind smile 

We talked as we walked 

And we walked for a while 


She held my arm tightly 

And stayed close to me 

And the day was as perfect 

As one day could be
