Underwear

There must be a pair

In here somewhere

Washed or worn

I don’t much care

As long as it’s clean enough

To wear

For one more day

To keep me 

From going bare

In the open air

I’ll do the laundry

I swear

As soon as I can

But man!

I need a pair

Of underwear

Right now!

Even if I have to 

Rinse them out 

And dry them quickly

In the air

Hang them on 

The back of my chair

For an hour

If they’re damp

I’ll deal with it

I just don’t dare

Go bare

That’s a bit more 

Than I’d like to share

Oh, come on!

There must be a pair

In here somewhere!

Note to self:

I have to buy

More underwear
