One morning it was quite crowded. About a minute after I ordered, the server placed a bag on the count. "Carrot cake muffin!"
I reached down and picked up the bag, but I felt an awkward sensation immediately. I turned around to see a lady looking at me nervously. "Did you have one, too?" I asked. She shook her head politely. I handed over the bag, apologized, and waited my turn.
I learned a valuable lesson that morning. While waiting in line in a crowded place, be careful not to grab a lady's muffin accidentally. She might be polite about it, but it won't be appreciated.
