From Those Who Have Succeeded

Always learn as much as you can
From those who have succeeded.
Take notes on mistakes and pitfalls
When you speak with those who've failed.

 But please beware of freed advice
From those who've barely tried.
For despite steadfast assurances
And intensity of pride,
Most of what they'll tell you 
Will be a waste of time.
